Hello!!

Welcome to my Engineering Technology pages!  My goal as a CTE teacher is to help my students learn how to use tech tools effectively and innovatively in a real-world setting through the design process and hands-on tasks.

This is my sixth year in the De Soto school district and my 28th year in education.  I have taught computer-related classes at the middle school level for 18 years. I have also taught middle school language arts, middle school math, middle school journalism, and at the elementary level in 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I am excited to begin the Engineering Tech journey this year!

 

I attended Emporia State University to earn my education degree and graduated with a Master's in Instructional Design & Technology from Emporia State in spring of 2018. I also have certificates in Teaching with Technology and Digital Learning.

In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading, watching movies, hanging out with friends and family, and watching/playing various sports.

I have high expectations for my students because I love watching them grow as they commit to a task, work hard toward the task, and achieve success!
