House System
Six Houses, United in Excellence
Inspired by the British secondary school tradition, Mill Creek’s House System creates a unique and supportive experience for students. Upon entering middle school, each student is welcomed into a House — a smaller community within the school — that fosters connection, peer support, and leadership development. Through their House, students build lasting relationships and gain valuable life skills that enhance their overall school experience.
What is the House System?
The MCMS House System is a unique student leadership and support structure for grades 6–8, designed to guide students through their middle school years by creating vertically aligned peer groups. This “family within a family” model helps foster meaningful connections across grade levels while supporting both academic and social growth. Unlike traditional student government based on grade or age, the House System forms smaller, cross-grade communities that promote unity, leadership, and school spirit.
The MCMS House System also provides a framework for advancing student leadership skills.
