Mrs. Legore Seawood is beginning her 13th year at Mill Creek Middle School — first year as the building principal. Prior to this, she served seven years as the Associate Principal/Athletic Director, taught Engineering Technology for five years at Mill Creek, and was the Student Council Sponsor. She was also an elementary teacher and elementary principal for 13 years.
In the fall of 2019, Mrs. Legore Seawood was recognized as the KAMSA Associate Principal of the year for the state of Kansas.
Mrs. Legore Seawood is honored to be working with the students, staff, and families of Mill Creek, and is looking forward to fostering deeper relationships. Every Student Matters!

Assistant Principal & Athletic Director
Mr. Kerry Wixon

Mr. Wixon is beginning his 17th year in education. He began his career in the Hazelwood School District in St. Louis, serving Southeast Middle School for three years. He then spent 11 years in Bonner Springs/Edwardsville USD 204 and the last two years at Lansing Middle School in USD 469.
“I am excited to serve as the Associate Principal at Mill Creek and look forward to building strong, positive relationships with our students, families, and dedicated staff. Together, we will continue to cultivate a supportive and positive school culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and equipped to succeed.”
Mr. Wixon is the recipient of the Excellence in Education award from the Bonner Springs/Edwardsville School District and holds a certificate through the Greenbush Leadership Academy.
